About Rent-A-Local
Company History
Rent-A-Local originally began in 1992 as a hiking company called Hike Hawaii. We used to take visitors on hiking trails all over the island (we still do).
But our hiking guides would often take visitors to see something extra on their way back from the hike. These were often places that aren't listed in most tourist guides. We also got requests from our hikers to show them other sights. That's when we expanded the business to Rent-A-Local.
With Rent-A-Local, we can take tourists wherever they want to go and not be limited to just the hiking trails. We still get to show them our favorite secret spots, so it's really the best of both worlds.

Our Privacy Policy is very simple:
- We only collect personal information from you when you book a tour with us.
- We only use that information to communicate with you about your tour and for payment purposes.
